WILLOW TREE NATIVITY ZAMPOGNARO SHERPHERD WITH BAGPIPE BY DEMDACO
ZampognaroA shepherd's gift... a joyous melody... proclaiming the news!“I love the idea of bringing music to the Nativity… and I wanted to portray an instrument that’s traditionally been used for that purpose. My son is immersed in the preservation of indigenous music in the regions of Italy and Sicily, from where my grandparents immigrated. He’s re-introduced an authentic musical tradition to our family by learning about and playing the zampogna, the Italian bagpipe (pronounced zam-pone-ya). The bagpipe is an ancient pastoral instrument played by shepherds and farmers for thousands of years, and is used in many cultures to celebrate the nativity. In present day Italy, the Zampognaro (shepherd with bagpipe) plays the Novena, the nine days leading up to Christmas… a celebration and announcement of the birth of Christ. The music is festive and vibrant, accompanied by singing and dancing. It’s a time of reunion and company – heralding the arrival of the holidays. It’s the Italian version of caroling – people gather, singing songs passed down through the generations. The zampogna is a humble shepherd’s instrument, yet it produces a rich texture of melody and rhythm. Willow Tree Christmas Nativity Hand Painted With Original Boxes.Read Description
eBay This is for 3 boxes of Willow Tree Nativity sets. From 1999,2000 and 2002Overall in good condition, but there is some things that are broken . If you look in the pictures on one of the little lambs, there is a chip in the ear. I would just get some brown paint and dab it, and you probably would not even be able to tell. Also on one of the wisemen his musical instrument is broke off. You can see in one picture I hanged it onto him, but you should be able to glue that back on. Also the staff on one of the men has come off and will also need to be glued back. It’s still a very usable nativity. It just does have things wrong but the price does reflect that.The boxes do show wear and some little holes, and the Styrofoam also shows wear and little holes.I will ship these very well, in a box and bubble wrapped. (Condition: Pre-Owned)

It features the song Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite: Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.” This is being sold new in box with factory seal. The bag is open at the bottom because I needed to make sure this music box worked and it is in excellent working condition. Easily wind up and the angel twirls to Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. The music box with base stands approximately 8.75” tall and 5.76” wide. The last two pictures are a sample of what it looks out of the factory seal from another listing I have up.
